Job DescriptionJob Description

LightFeather is currently seeking talented Full Stack Software Engineers who are well versed in Agile Development using Object Oriented Programming and microservices in the AWS cloud using React and Java Spring Boot. This is a long-term project. Successful candidates must thrive in a collaborative team culture.

This Position is Full Time, Remote.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Devises and modifies applications programs and procedures from detailed specifications to solve complex problems. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains those programs.
  • Ability to deliver competent O&M and system enhancement support by executing all phases of applications programming activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Active clearance at the Public Trust level or above. DHS clearance preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Math, Engineering, or IT-related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ yrs overall software development experience using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and the following core languages and technologies: React and Java Spring Boot.
  • 3+ yrs developing software on fully automated CI/CD in the cloud - specifically, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Must be proficient in developing APIs and microservices. 
  • Must be proficient in automation tools - Jenkins, Git, Confluence/Jira.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Detailed documentation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.
  • Strong customer service/client facing skills.
  • Other nice to haves: DevOps, Terraform, AWS CLI, Apigee.
