Position Description
Job Title: Housing Coordinator

Expectation of All Employees:

Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Programs Director, coordinates and manages Project Woman’s supportive housing program. Participates in the local Continuum of Care toward ending homelessness; advocating for the rights and needs of those who are survivors of domestic, intimate partner, and sexual violence. Maintains and manages comparable data system as required by HUD and other regulatory entities. Liaise with private landlords to ensure successful networks and access for survivor/participants. Serves as a member of the Coordinator Leadership Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and manages the Project Woman Supportive Housing Program.
- Ensure program aligns with OVW and HUD standards of practice and funding guidelines for transitional, permanent, and rapid rehousing solutions.
- Screen applicants for eligibility and build access to supportive housing solutions including, but not limited to transitional, permanent supportive, income-based and public, and rapid re-housing solutions.
- Maintain required Comparable Data Base and other ancillary data systems as required by regulatory agencies and funders.
- Complete routine reports to monitor program outcomes compliance as related to the local Continuum of Care, Office of Violence Against Women, Ohio Development Services Agency, Housing and Urban Development, and other regulatory agencies as applicable.
- Establishes and maintains internal communication related to Supportive Housing Programs by attending staff meetings, PQI Committee, remains an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
- Actively attend HMIS and Continuum of Care meetings to represent agency in collaborative efforts to ensure outcomes for survivors.
- Monitors participant Goal Attainment Plan for outcomes and use as indicators for supportive housing program completion. Create transition plans based upon GAP and Rent Determination.
- Serve as liaison with landlords for community-based housing where custodial agreements are in place; provide routine communication with landlords to determine status of tenancy, be proactive for solution to potential landlord/tenant issues and provide recommendations for program completion, as necessary.
- Liaise with landlords, as necessary, to ensure lease compliance, landlord/tenant relationships, and successful program outcomes.
- Attend eviction hearings, as necessary; provide advocacy for survivors enrolled in Transitional and/or Rapid Rehousing programs in relation to landlord and tenant disputes; ensuring rights of survivors as related to VAWA protections.
- Coordinates Housing Quality Standards inspections per HUD requirements for use of subsidy and to ensure Habitability of all units and properties participating in Project Woman Supportive Housing Program [including private landlord locations and Chrysalis Manor].
- Ensure internal and external collaboration of program elements including Empowerment Education, Tenant Resources, etc. to maximize a wrap-around and supportive network for survivor/tenants.
- Coordinate monthly/quarterly meetings including but not limited to tenant meetings, facility management, landlord networking, empowerment teams, etc. to ensure effective communications, problem solving, and program outcomes are maintained.
- Performs other duties as needed or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of an associate degree or equivalent combination of work experience and continuing education and certification required. Prior experience working with domestic violence and sexual assault issues, criminal justice, law, or related experience is a plus. Excellent computer/technology skills including but not limited to HMIS/HUD Comparable Systems. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organization, and problem-solving abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
