T-Ball Field Supervisor (Seasonal)

The City of Leawood, Kansas will be accepting applications for the T-Ball Field Supervisor until May 3, 2024.

Summary of the Position: The T-Ball Field Supervisor is in charge of the set up and clean-up of the T-Ball fields during the season.

  • Typical hours will be 4:45pm to 8:45pm Monday through Thursday.
  • The season runs from June to August.

General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring necessary catcher equipment and bag is set up and collected before and after each game. Responsibilities include ensuring the catcher equipment is in working condition and cleaned after each use.
  • Responsible for ensuring there are ice and water coolers at each ball field. Responsibilities include ensuring the coolers are full, emptied and put away at the end of the night.
  • Reports any safety or field condition concerns to the Sports Supervisor.
  • Monitors game times, making adjustments to the time schedule as needed.
  • Monitors weather conditions and may be required to make decisions regarding inclement weather, which may warrant cancelling participation or seeking shelter.
  • May be asked by the supervisor or acting supervisor to perform other duties that are not listed but are essential to the job.


Minimum Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of college preferred. Must enjoy working with the public. Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per the City’s drivers Use of Vehicles for City Business policy throughout employment with the City.
