WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Strong commitment to safety, including willingness to immediately correct or report unsafe conditions, practices, or hazards
- Ability to follow directions, arrive to work on time, dress appropriately, and wear all safety gear
- Willingness to travel out of town and work overtime as needed in peak seasons
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and a solid work ethic
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurable driving record
- Cleanliness, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job, including bending, climbing ladders, lifting 100 pounds, and using an arc welder and torch
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
As an entry-level Boring Laborer, you work under the direction of our foreman and hoe operator to ensure successful results and maintain a safe environment. Every day is different as you lay out work, stage materials and tools, set up lasers and levels, and read blueprints and drawings. While we're digging, you give hand signals to our hoe operator and make sure they dig to the correct depth. You rig pipe before it's lowered into the trench and let the foreman know as we run low on materials. As directed, you also help out with tasks like preparing supplies and unloading and checking deliveries.
