The Product Manager will be at the forefront of planning and delivering products that resonate deeply with our customers. This role is ideal for those with a passion for developing innovative products. This role will work alongside diverse cross-functional teams to conceptualize, develop, and launch products that are in line with our organizational vision and strategic goals. They will work on aligning product development with market needs internally as well as externally and ensuring that our customers receive maximum value from our offerings. We are looking for someone who can bring a blend of technical acumen, customer empathy, and a drive for product excellence.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take ownership of the entire product development cycle, ensuring both product success and learning from product failures.
  • Lead the planning phase of product development, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and market demands. This includes defining the product roadmap and setting clear milestones for development and release.
  • Vigilantly manage product development timelines, ensuring that each phase of the product life cycle is completed on schedule. This involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain momentum and address any challenges promptly.
  • Oversee the entire product development cycle, coordinating efforts between various departments including R&D, marketing, and sales to ensure a cohesive and efficient process.
  • Continuously align product development with evolving market needs and customer feedback, ensuring that our products remain competitive and relevant.
  • Act as a leader and a central point of communication for the product team, fostering a collaborative environment and guiding your team through the various stages of product development.
  • Effectively communicate and clarify the product’s vision and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding and unwavering focus on the needs of the product’s end users.
  • Create and regularly update a comprehensive roadmap of value-add features, incorporating input from both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the prioritization process, translating feature requests into planned releases.
  • Schedule and lead collaboration calls with customers to identify features delivering maximum value.
  • Set release milestones and guide the product launch processes, effectively managing cross-product dependencies.
  • Establish and nurture strong cross-functional partnerships at multiple levels within the company and department, including Engineering, Data Analytics, IT Infrastructure, Product Success, and Support to ensure successful product launches.
  • Provide regular product status updates to Product Management leadership and key cross-functional partners.
  • Serve as an agile product manager, facilitating activities such as backlog refinement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to inform product strategies and understand the art of possible.
  • Oversee daily metrics on product tickets or escalations by categorizing them.
  • Manage competing resources and priorities effectively.
  • Work with Product Support and Success teams to write product documentation as needed.
  • Actively participate in efforts to improve the software development life cycle processes.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Product Management, Computer Science or related field, required.
  • Masters in a Business degree, preferred
Experience:
  • 5+ years of previous experience in software development business analysis or product management.
  • Previous experience in clinical research or healthcare technology is a plus.
  • Experience with agile/scrum required.
Credentials:
  • Certification in relevant Scrum Product manager is preferred
  • Certification in PMP is preferred - either Project Management or Product Management Professional
Knowledge and Skills:
  • A creative and innovative mindset, contributing to efforts to enhance the product development process.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and understand the necessary components of a solution through planning, cost/benefit analysis, testing and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, writing, and speaking. Must demonstrate the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience working with Product Support and Success teams to write product documentation as needed.
  • Involvement in efforts to improve software development life cycle processes.
  • Ability to identify the required stakeholders throughout design, development, and implementation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate and build consensus with various internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated accountability in project ownership.
  • Willingness to embrace and drive change.
