Position: Line Cook
Reports to: Executive Chef

Description of Role:
The line cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating all menu items in accordance with the precision and quality that meet our CORE: company standards.

Primary Role & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively and professionally run assigned station during service period; ensuring excellence in cooking, timing, plate assembly, and communication.
  • Ensure station mise en place is prepped, seasoned, and stocked throughout service and overall station remains clean and organized.
  • Accurately handling food items to minimize waste and maintain health code
  • Actively participates in the positive relationship between FOH, Bar and BOH teams by maintaining steady stream of communication with entire team and staff.
  • Take part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
  • Demonstrate a passion for details and willingness to learn
  • Uphold service preparation and culinary standards to ensure a memorable guest experience
  • Maintain and uphold our company's vision and values
  • Maintain and uphold the cleanliness of the kitchen in line with NYC DOH standards and CORE: standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of line cook experience
  • High volume, fine-dining experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, consistency, production, sanitation, and presentation
  • Highly motivated, focused, and passionate
  • Exhibits professionalism and teamwork; great interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to work well under pressure, be professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and courteous
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow
