We are looking for a full-time Radiologic Technologist to join our top notch team of professionals


This position will be at our Woodlands office.


Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, must be flexible for clinic needs.


JOB SUMMARY:

A radiologic technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, such as x-rays, and completing documentation for the physicians or PA to assist them with diagnosing and/or treating disease and/or injury.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Review and evaluate x-rays or computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.
  • Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during x-ray.
  • Operate or oversee operation of radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position and immobilize patient on examining table.
  • Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination.
  • Put images on CD’s in a timely and safe manner.
  • Understand doctor’s orders and protocols and change and update protocol lists as needed.
  • Maintain required records.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
  • Texas certified Radiologic Technologist registry.
  • ARRT preferred but not required.
  • Texas Medical Board license.
  • Previous orthopedic radiology experience preferred.
  • Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands with imaging requests and schedules.
  • Physical, visual, and auditory acuity for timely responsiveness and patient care assessments and requests.
  • Requires full range of motion in all extremities, neck and back, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to move equipment and transfer patients.
