As a member of the finance team, this role is accountable for the processes, systems and policies that manage Anchor Packaging’s Credit & Collections functions. The objective of this role is to deliver the metrics and projects assigned to our DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), working capital, cash flow, bad debt and aging targets.


The Senior Credit Analyst will lead by example, with a team-player mindset. As a member of the Credit Department this role will partner with other functional area leaders to help drive and disseminate the company’s strategic initiatives and goals. Ensuring the team is providing quality service to both internal and external customers will be key as this role will interact with Sales, Accounting, Oder Entry and Anchor Packaging’s Executive Leadership Team.


Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily accounts receivable operations for both collections and credit functions.

• Monitoring existing customer accounts for continued credit worthiness based on the analysis of past performance and current information.

• Analyze and review prospective customer credit applications.

• Review and approve customer orders.

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer account data within the customer master database.

• Support cross-functional efforts that drive issue resolution, project completion and process improvement in support of Anchor Packaging’s strategic initiatives.

• Define customer-specific invoicing methods via any number of electronic means.

• Drive towards DSO, working capital, cash flow, bad debt and aging targets as well as ensuring accountability for compliance and controls.

• Explore and lead innovative solutions/initiatives to address an everchanging business environment.

• Assist in supporting talent development and succession planning within the team.

• Assist in performing monthly close duties and prepare month-end close and other initiatives.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, preferred.

• Three years of increasing responsibility with Credit/Finance/Accounting roles.

• Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to think strategically and see the larger picture, communicate goals that are larger than the position’s responsibilities.

• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and thorough.

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required with preferred knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions.

• Excellent communication skills with a sharp customer focus.

• Proficiency in an ERP system.
