What You'll Be Doing:
- Transform accounting processes and collaborate across departments to establish a foundation for sustainable future growth.
- Oversee all activities within the accounting department, including month-end closing, accounts payable, billings, and collections.
- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and EMCOR guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and controls.
- Conduct monthly and annual accounting close processes, including account reconciliations, balance sheet and income statement analysis, KPI reporting, and corporate uploads.
- Manage capital requests and approvals, as well as fixed asset and lease accounting.
- Perform monthly commission calculations.
- Prepare risk and insurance package calculations.
- Review and approve weekly payroll.
- Review and approve expense reports to ensure proper general ledger coding.
- Prepare the annual tax package for corporate requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and savings.
- Actively coach, mentor, train, and manage the Senior Accounting Manager and teams for billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Collaborate across functions to identify and enhance current business practices.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audits, providing necessary materials, schedules, and information.
- Support the team with key strategic and process improvement initiatives.

- You are detail-oriented, focused on precise accounting, and adept at identifying opportunities to strengthen business process controls.
- Possess 7+ years of accounting experience.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive process improvements.
- Experience in leading, organizing, and developing a team.
- Strong capability to communicate accounting and financial information clearly.
- Experienced in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and leadership qualities.
- Highly motivated, able to take initiative, and comfortable working independently.
- High energy, ownership of work, and dedication to achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset, able to find meaning in data and act on insights.
