First Call Professional now hiring Die Maintenance Technicians for an industrial client located in Edinburgh IN. This is a direct hire position paying $19.00-$22.00 hourly DOE. Must have at least 6 months experience. What we are looking for is press machine die maintenance, not mold injection. The experience we are looking for is grinding, welding, and sharpening experience.
2nd shift 4:30pm-1:30am
May train during 1st shift hours
Other duties may include:
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for
conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers,
gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine
tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.
Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of
operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.
Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies,
based on specifications.
Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools,
using machine tools and hand tools.
