About the Role

Our client, a debate app company is seeking a skilled videographer to film and edit interview videos, where people express their opinions on various topics and current events. The primary purpose of these videos is to promote the company's debate app. This is an ongoing, long-term project based in Chicago, United States, requiring on-site presence for the duration of the project. The company is open to candidates across all experience levels, from beginners to mid-level professionals, and is willing to consider budget proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate on-site interviews with members of the public in Chicago, ensuring a diverse range of perspectives and opinions are captured.
  • Set up and operate professional videography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear, to capture high-quality footage and sound.
  • Edit and post-produce the raw footage, incorporating graphics, transitions, and other visual elements to create compelling and visually appealing videos.
  • Ensure consistent branding and visual style across all videos, adhering to the company's guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the company's team to understand their vision, objectives, and any specific requirements for the videos.

Requirements

  • Experience in videography, filming, and video editing, with a portfolio
  • Proficiency in using professional videography equipment, including cameras, lighting setups, and audio gear.
  • Strong skills in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects tools.
  • Knowledge of videography techniques, including shot composition, lighting, and sound recording.
