We are passionate about developing the next generation and helping to provide the skills and experiences needed to help shape the next step of your career.  By working alongside engineers, designers, architects and technical staff who are experts in their field, we provide opportunities to help you discover your path.  LDG is happy to partner with the "Career Learning Experience" program that allows Warwick High School Seniors to register a portion of their normal classwork in a semester in an internship with a local business.  Rather than report to a classroom, the student reports to the local business to job shadow and work for the business during their normal assigned classroom hours.  The student is not paid for their hours worked since they are receiving classroom credits for the internship.  However, after the normal school hours are completed in a week, the business and the student may elect to employ the student for additional hours works.

While you will not be responsible for these tasks on your own, these are the various aspects of the Highway position that you will be shadowing:

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in completing computations, technical reports, and drawings
• Technical hands-on experience using Revit, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Bentley MicroStation, and other software programs
• Assist in preparing draft letters, specifications, and reports
• Possible day trips to complete field work and inspections
• Conduct research in support of engineering documents

Education and Experience

• High school senior student. 
• Ability and willingness to take direction from others
• Strong planning, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
