Landmark Hospitals is seeking a staff accountant to join our growing team of healthcare accountants. The staff accountant will join a supportive team of experienced and dedicated finance professionals. The accounting team supports our hospitals by ensuring accurate accounting transactions to provide operational analysis and insights to drive the business forward and more efficiently. Our ideal candidate has experience with accounting functions and is eager to learn and grow within our company. Healthcare accounting experience is a plus, but we can train you in the industry aspects as needed.

Staff Accountant Summary: Responsible for retrieving, preparing, and presenting financial information to the corporate and hospital executive teams. Focus on general ledger, accruals, payroll, fixed assets, account analysis, bank reconciliation and monthly financial reporting.

Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly consolidated and individual company financial statements
  • Prepare and input journal entries
  • Perform financial analysis of operations
  • Complete quarterly payroll reports
  • Maintain fixed asset system
  • Assist Human Resources in compliance and financial reporting requirements of health & welfare, compensation, and retirement programs
  • Assist with preparation of government filings, regulatory reporting requirements including audit, tax, cost reporting and surveys
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Educational, Experience and Skill Requirements for Staff Accountant:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 1 or more years of accounting experience, preferably in hospital or healthcare setting
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills
  • Team player and collaboration skills
