Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Sales, this position focuses on the customer service and design process from start to finish in the guests’ homes and businesses.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Assists customers with design needs in stores, local businesses, and customer’s homes.  Measures spaces and suggests layout of furnishings, reviews specifications, and works with Director of Sales on product ordering and design. 
  2. Draws preliminary sketches and performs mathematical computations to develop design and work out detailed specifications of components.
  3. Performs preliminary and advanced work in development of working layouts and final master drawings.
  4. Revises size, shape and arrangement of furniture and accessories to create practical design.
  5. Attends installs when needed and offers to bring accessories for client to see and decide if they want to keep/purchase.
  6. Becomes part of sales rotation when not working on a customer design project or on an as-needed basis as requested by the Director of Sales.
  7. Keeps Director of Sales informed of work status, workload, issues, and progress related to work assignments.
