ServiceNow Engineer

*This is a hybrid work schedule, with some onsite presence needed at our Apple Valley, MN location.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: As part of the End User Services team, the ITSM Engineer – ServiceNow will be involved in the development, configuration, administration, maintenance, and support of the ServiceNow Platform.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Customize, configure, and support solutions on the ServiceNow platform as it relates to ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, ITSM, Service Catalog, workflow automation, and other related functionality.
• Implement necessary third-party external systems and ensure they are functioning as expected.
• Design, configure, and support new applications and modules.
• Implement and optimize workflows, automation, and integrations to streamline technical issue resolution processes.
• Monitor the health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
• Perform day-today administration of the ServiceNow Platform.
• Support ServiceNow discovery tool for CMDB.
• Maintain the integrity of the ServiceNow Platform across production and non-production instances.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
• Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards.
• Stay on top of industry trends and advancements in ServiceNow technology to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.
• Provide support for the ServiceNow Platform resolving incident tickets and fulfilling service requests escalating to ServiceNow support when needed.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of service management practices by analyzing data, identifying trends, and proposing strategic enhancements.
• Assist in building and maintaining internal documentation and procedures for which this position is made responsible.
• Closely adheres to credit union security standards, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• Associates degree (AA) and 5+ years related experience with implementation, development, administration, and support within the ServiceNow Platform.
• Proven ability to design, configure, and customize ServiceNow modules to meet specific business requirements.
• Understanding of integrating ServiceNow with other systems and tools.
• Proven ability to analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements using ServiceNow capabilities.
• Strong understanding of ITIL and ServiceNow best practices.
• Effective oral and written communication skills required to interact, resolve, and document business or technical requirements.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated individual who can handle undefined problems and think abstractly to deliver results.
• Ability to work in a fast pace, Agile environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills plus the ability to prioritize projects and tasks.
