SUMMARY OF WORK:
The Program Participant Specialist of LSSI Works is responsible for recruiting participants from Ft Wayne and the surrounding areas for a 4-week workforce training program. The Program Participant Specialist will build and cultivate relationships with homeless shelters, recovery centers, unemployment offices, social service providers and other locations where the unemployed receive services to build mutually beneficial partnerships that result in consistent participant referrals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Relationship Management and Business Development-
• Develop and maintain relationships with both referral and affiliate partners.
• Represent LSSI Works within LSSI and the greater community.
• Locate 15-20 students to enroll in classes each month by networking, cold calling, marketing, etc.

Program Management-
• Assist in the enrollment of participants in the training program.
• Assure required data collection systems and electronic files are maintained accurately.
• Provide referrals to both internal and external social service providers for students in need.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet program and agency deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff, both verbally and in writing.
• Proven track record of strong customer service and relationship management.
• Experience in outside sales and cold calling preferred.
• Knowledge of direct service organizations for the systemically affected preferred.
• Understanding of clients with differing cultural, racial, socioeconomic, or ethnic identities.
• Ability to relate effectively in public situations representing the agency.
• Ability to maintain ethical business practices while “living” LSSI core values.

Qualifications:
• Two years of experience in customer service, recruitment or sales, preferred.
• Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases, preferred.
• Valid driver's license, in force auto insurance and vehicle for full time business use required.
