Summary:
The Training and Education Fund is a tax-exempt non-profit organization that
provides services and training opportunities for over 18K frontline workers in
Pennsylvania. Currently, we are seeking Instructors to help support the
organizational mission.
The primary responsibility of each Instructor is to conduct, in person American
Heart Association, Basic Life Saving (BLS) and Heartsaver CPR AED/First Aid
trainings. Instructors also must ensure that each student has an
enjoyable, productive, challenging, and meaningful experience.
Position Type:
Per Diem (Part-Time/Casual) based on training need.
Maximum is 27 hours/week (dependent on training needs)
Hours are not guaranteed.
A flexible schedule that can include morning – evening and weekends
Location:
Training sites throughout the Philadelphia region.
Compensation:
Compensation for this role is up to $30/hr.—plus mileage reimbursement (60+
miles, round trip). Reimbursement for tolls and parking will also be provided.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct First Aid and CPR training classes for individuals and group
- Follow established AHA lesson plans and instructional materials for courses
- Provide clear and concise explanations of CPR & First Aid techniques and procedures
- Demonstrate proper techniques for administering life saving skills
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage participants and facilitate
learning - Create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Assess participant performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with current guidelines and practices
- Maintain responsibility for instruction and classroom management
- Capable of tracking attendance and reporting each training session to the
Western Regional Coordinator and/or Director - This position offers the opportunity to educate others on important life-saving

Qualifications and Experience:
CPR Instructor Certification (Preferred)
CPR Certification (Required)
Valid PA driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle (Required)
Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
Two years of experience in adult education and training (Preferred)
Healthcare Experience (Preferred)
