The Financial Analyst is responsible for analysis and reporting functions, including analyzing, reporting, and leveraging data. The Financial Analyst helps to sustain a culture that is filled with people who are Focused, Engaged, Trustworthy, Humbly Confident, and driven to Achieve. The Financial Analyst works collaboratively with the Accounting Manager and the Finance teams to effectively monitor and analyze credit union data to present trends, information, and solutions to key stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and all other necessary teams in all discussions relevant to data gathering, analysis, and reporting needs.
  • Focus on Purpose: Focused on credit union purpose of creating financial wellness in our community through everyday banking with an emphasis on using data analysis and reporting to assist management in making educated decisions.
  • Safety and Soundness: Monitor the safety and soundness of the credit union through data gathering, reporting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures, federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Research and Analysis: Conducts research, performs testing and validation of data sets, compiles data into comprehensive analyses. Summarizes data and findings into a format that is understandable to varying audiences. Prepares moderately complex spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and reports for management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or commensurate professional experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment of financial institutions
