As a Jr. Software Developer, you will be expected to take a technical role within a team tasked with the development and maintenance of software in accordance with project requirements and customer needs. You will be responsible for the project’s implemented solution, including architecture and documentation. You will be expected to effectively communicate within the team and outside parties of a variety of disciplines to determine requirements and design for the project, convey accurate project estimates and goals, and maintain positive and productive dialogue within the team and with project stakeholders.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in modern programming languages and frameworks, such as Python and Java
  • Comfortable with a variety of databases (relational, NoSQL, graph)
  • Strong expertise in SQL
  • Fluency in object-oriented design
  • Ability to debug application code
  • Knowledge of commonly used development IDEs
  • Ability to analyze business/functional/non-functional requirements
  • Knowledge of source control systems, tagging and branching techniques
  • Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, React or other front-end JavaScript libraries a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer or software engineering, information systems or equivalent technical discipline
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Secret Clearance (this requires US Citizenship)
  • Acceptable candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background screen
