Position
As a Collector, you'll be an indispensable part of our laboratory operations, ensuring the efficient processing, documentation, and communication of specimen-related information. This is a stationary position where you will collect specimens at our facility, enter data into our system, and answer questions for the laboratory, acting as a bridge of communication. You'll interface daily with patients, serving as the face of the laboratory for both patients and the facility.
Available Shifts:
- Full-time: Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700
- Part-time: Monday to Thursday 1700 to 2100
Responsibilities:
- Collect specimens from patients at the facility.
- Accurately input patient and specimen data into the laboratory information system (LIS).
- Verify and label specimens.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and processing of specimens.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation.
- Answer questions and provide information to patients and laboratory staff.
- Serve as a communication bridge between patients and the laboratory.
- Provide excellent customer service and compassionate patient care.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain infection control procedures and a clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in Phlebotomy, CNA, Med Tech, or related field preferred (newly certified candidates encouraged to apply).
- Experience in specimen collection and data entry preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must pass a background check.
Additional Information:
- Hourly pay: $17-20 per hour
- Work location: In-person in Draper, UT, and surrounding areas.
