Essential Job Functions:

  • Take patient medical history before exams – 10%.
  • Interpret doctors' written scanning instructions correctly – 10%.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation – 10%.
  • Position patients using immobilization devices for optimal image quality – 10%.
  • Set technical parameters, operate X-ray machines, and observe image data – 30%.
  • Evaluate X-rays for quality and determine if repeats are necessary – 10%.
  • Assist radiologists with arthrograms – 10%.
  • Support other modalities when needed – 10%.

Non-Essential Job Functions:

  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Regularly sanitize waiting and procedure rooms.

Qualifications:

  • ARRT(R) certified.
  • BLS certified.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience with radiologic procedures.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in radiologic procedures.
  • Venipuncture skills.
  • Flexibility to float between Beach Blvd. and Old St. Augustine Rd. locations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs. from ground to waist level.
