As a Lead Cook, you will be responsible for the cooking and preparing of food using standard recipes and production guidelines while following food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. You will also be responsible for helping with planning and coordinating meals in accordance with the dietician-approved menus and documenting all necessary information for record keeping.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or verifiable work experience in lieu of education may be considered.
- Experience as a cook or related role
- Experience in food service preparation
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license in state of employment. This role may be required to drive for company business.
Preferred
- Food safety certification
- Previous supervisor experience in a related role
Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritional meals by following the dietician-approved menus and schedule.
- Maintain the temperatures of all cooling units daily.
- Ensures all food items are labeled, dated, and stored properly.
- Once a month an inventory must be done of all food and supplies
- Check all food inventory for expired or spoiled items and maintain records for all damaged and/or spoiled food.
- Must follow all Health Inspection Codes
- Responsible for all necessary cleaning and sanitizing of the work area, equipment and utensils daily including washing dishes, wiping down cabinets, cleaning the dining room, sweeping etc.
- Preparation of extra snacks that are used throughout the day and evening.
- Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to management.
- Attend team meetings and complete all training courses timely as required.
- Other duties as assigned
