Job Summary: As a Restaurant Server at Hammock Dunes Club, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding service in our elegant dining setting. Your role will involve providing attentive and personalized service to our members and their guests, ensuring that each dining experience is memorable and meets the high standards of our private club.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service:
    • Greet and welcome members and guests with a warm, professional demeanor.
    • Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, addressing any special requests or dietary restrictions.
    • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and beverage pairings.
  • Order Management:
    • Enter orders into the POS system promptly and accurately.
    • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and correct delivery of orders.
    • Monitor and address any issues with food and beverage quality or presentation.
  • Dining Experience:
    • Set up and clean dining tables before, during, and after service, ensuring a polished and inviting environment.
    • Maintain an organized and efficient service station, including stocking supplies and managing tableware.
    • Ensure that guests receive attentive service throughout their dining experience, checking in periodically and responding to needs promptly.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with fellow servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
    • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on menu changes, club policies, and service standards.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including following protocols for table settings and food safety.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a server, preferably in a fine dining or private club setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, with the ability to handle a variety of dining scenarios.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing high-quality customer service.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Education & Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications, such as food handler's permit or alcohol server training, are a plus.
