Established in 2013, OUR Rescue (formerly Operation Underground Railroad) fights human trafficking and child sexual exploitation worldwide. We work with law enforcement agencies globally to identify, arrest, and prosecute traffickers, and provide comprehensive care for survivors. We also educate and advocate for public involvement in our mission.


Basic Function:

The OUR Rescue case manager position is for you You will be responsible for arranging wrap-around services for survivors in the US with the goal of achieving survivor autonomy and self-sufficiency. A successful candidate effectively communicates Person Centered Plans, is well-organized, has great time management skills and can act independently as well as collaborate with a team.


Responsibilities:


  • Be active in the non-profit community, providing direct support services to survivors, and networking with NGOs and government agencies to facilitate additional services.
  • Work with survivors to create goals for service provision, as well as concrete strategies for survivors and staff to monitor and measure progress toward these goals. Critical to goal development is the overarching goal of creating survivor autonomy and self-sufficiency. This should always be considered as the action steps are identified and survivor progress is monitored.
  • Create and increase services for survivors such as: medical, food, education, vocational training, mental health services, and housing.
  • Maintain thorough case management documentation.
  • Help schedule survivor appointments and arrange transportation.
  • Teach survivors how to access resources in their communities.
  • Initiate and maintain new collaborative relationships with nonprofits and vet ones to be passed on to team members.
  • Partner with the assigned OUR Rescue department to create presentations for survivor care services offered in the US and update team monthly via email.
  • Communicate effectively to external and internal stakeholders utilizing all forms of communication: in-person, email, phone, etc.
  • Attend all OUR Rescue functions and meetings.
  • Work directly with US Survivor Care Regional Director on projects.
  • Assist Survivor Care team with a variety of different tasks as needed, working in-person at the Murray office
  • Support and implement positive company culture and core values of OUR Rescue.
  • Be willing to work some nights and weekends depending on schedules of survivors.
  • Use healthy communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Take a leadership role when creating survivor care services and be committed to continued education on leadership through books/podcasts/lectures.
  • Create healthy boundaries utilizing survivor care guidelines for interacting with survivors
  • Practice self-care and agree to the personal therapeutic requirements of Survivor Care.
  • Stay current on vocabulary, trends, and changing dynamics in the anti-trafficking field

  • Ability to think outside the box to find ways of funding survivor care projects and assisting survivors in building autonomy and independence
  • Create survivor care PowerPoint when needed for a survivor care presentation
