Silver Cross Health and Rehab is looking for talented, energetic individuals to work on our dietary team. We are looking for team players who thrive on collaboration in a fast-paced environment to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen. Duties of the various positions available include, assisting with meal service, setting and bussing trays and assisting the cook as needed with food preparation and cleaning. The ideal candidate will be reliable and have excellent customer service skills. This position requires occasional lifting, stacking, and maneuvering objects that may weigh 30 to 50 pounds and standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire workday. Various full-time dietary positions are available on all shifts.

Requirements:

Talking: Communicating with residents, families, visitors and staff

Hearing: Taking instructions from supervisor To respond to resident complaints and requests

Smell: For accurate detection and maintenance of facility odors

Tasting: For checking the food that is being prepared and served to the residents


Must be able to tolerate a high pace as typical for a nursing facility. Must be able to take and give instructions well and enjoy working with the elderly. This position requires high level of activity including standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching throughout the work day.
