AAMFT is seeking a program administrator to join our fast-growing, highly congenial organization. The ideal candidate is efficient, detail-oriented, and skilled in developing and maintaining workplace and member relationships. The Program Administrator position will provide administrative support for the Programming, Supervision, and Online Education programs within the Events Department. Applicants must reside in DC, MD, VA, PA, DE, NC, SC, GA, IL. Background check is required.

Reporting to the Programming Manager, essential functions and responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the selection of speakers for in-person events and online webinars using our Speaker’s Bureau platform.
  • Assist with developing speaker contracts and materials.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of AAMFT events and continuing education offerings.
  • Monitor several email inboxes and respond to inquiries and correspondence.
  • Update AAMFT website with relevant event information.
  • Inputs and updates information in databases and spreadsheets.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Should possess strong skills in the following areas:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Interpersonal communication with staff, and with AAMFT members)
  • Detail-oriented as it relates to grammar, spelling, and editing
  • Excellent time management and able to meet and manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a digital filing system
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite: Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Knowledge of computer software for survey and application data (Adobe Acrobat, iMIS) or ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong computer, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Coordination within and among multiple AAMFT departments

Desired Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Ability to travel up to 5%, including weekends.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a professional office setting
  • Experience working with volunteers, boards, and association leadership is a plus.
  • Website management and updating content
