To be successful in this role, you need to have experience leading projects from a technical standpoint and experience in architecting systems from the ground up. This is a remote eligible role so successful team members are those that are capable to work autonomously and collaboratively within various teams. 


This job description is not intended to include all duties and responsibilities and team members may be requested for additional tasks that may or may not relate directly to the primary role, as business needs dictate. ***Applicants must be U.S. based, able to work on East Coast time and eligible to work in the U.S***


Roles and responsibilities: 

  • Professional programming experience within a custom software environment and comparable projects
  • Work closely with Digital Project Managers to analyze requirements and recommend technical design and specifications
  • Conceptualize and build software to solve complex problems and implement scalable software solutions
  • Write clean and functional complex code following MVC or comparable framework 
  • Provide technical support for software applications as needed
  • Proactively research and continuously seek to learn new technologies 
  • Debug code for existing programs based on immediate need and trouble shoot system bugs and issues
  • Communicate effectively with all internal departments including, DPMs, BAs, QA testers, and clients. This includes both verbal and written communication
  • Serve as a mentor to Jr. and Mid level developers
  • Lead projects and offer technical guidance
  • Special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in leading technically complex projects
  • 6+ Years Internet development industry experience
  • Expert OOP (PHP preferred)
  • Advanced SQL (MySQL preferred, should be able to work as DBA)
  • Version Control (SVN or Git)
  • Excellent Knowledge in HTML/CSS/JS
  • Bootstrap
  • jQuery or similar JS framework
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and cohesively within a team environments
  • Laravel or CakePHP experience a plus
