Mechanic

Denny's Electric is looking for a skilled truck, trailer, and heavy equipment mechanic to maintain and repair our fleets of trucks, gas and diesel pickups along with heavy equipment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality. An excellent mechanic with a good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. They will be well-versed in complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of vehicles and heavy equipment and have excellent problem-solving abilities.

Mechanic Benefits:

Mechanic Responsibilities

  • Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical and hydraulic components to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Inspect computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain, and upgrade
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) aiming at vehicle functionality and longevity
  • Order parts and maintain fleet
  • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues
  • Keep logs on work and issues
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition

Mechanic Skills

  • Proven experience
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic components and hydraulic systems of trucks, vehicles, heavy equipment and trailers
  • Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
  • Wiliness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
  • College degree is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprentice

Mechanic Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Vermeer and/or CAT experience
  • Ability to work in and out doors if needed
  • Valid driver's license-Class A CDL a plus
  • Must be dependable and on time
