Key Responsibilities:
As a Purchasing and Receiving Associate, you will play a crucial role in our operations by managing the purchasing and receiving processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with vendors to negotiate prices and terms for materials
- Creating purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of products
- Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
- Maintaining inventory levels and updating purchase records
- Collaborating with the sales team to forecast demand and optimize purchasing decisions
- Scheduling Deliveries and the planning the logistics with the lumberyard employees.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in purchasing and receiving roles
- Strong knowledge of building materials and lumberyard products and materials.
- Ideally, with some experience in the industry would be preferred, but not required.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer technology and inventory management software,EPICOR
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction
