POSITION DETAILS

JOB PURPOSE This position is open to recent graduates, or those currently enrolled in a Machine Tool Technology program. Or to anyone interested in taking advantage of employer funded education to pursue enrollment and a career in Machining.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interpretation of Manufacturing Plans, Prints, and/or CAD data.
  • Identification & Set-up of appropriate tooling and fixturing required for accurate and safe machining.
  • Programming and/or Operation of various CNC Milling, EDM, & Surface grinding equipment.
  • Perform & Document all necessary inspections to assure quality expectations.
  • Maintain all process and documentation standards in accordance with QMS: ISO 13485.
  • Observe and adhere to all safety expectations, procedures, and regulations.
  • Contribute and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct routine Preventive Maintenance of equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS The employee is subject to normal manufacturing and office environments.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Preferred experience in manufacturing.

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Preferred education in manufacturing.

  • Aptitude and interest in building things and understanding what makes things work.
  • Basic computer navigation/applications & moderate math skills.

  • Ability to work independently with good communication and follow up skills.
  • Fluent English speaking.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The employee is required to sit extended periods, exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and move about, reach, handle, finger and feel. As required, with or without accommodation, for reading written documents, design prints and computer screens. As required, with or without accommodation, for hearing the telephone and communicating with customers, co-workers and visitors.
