The Kiawah River Environmental Steward is the front-line of the community and an integral part of the overall operation of a quickly growing development. This role plays a key role in maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the community, maintaining and enhancing the community’s grounds and contributes to creating an inviting and positive experience for all—whether it’s a guest/prospect’s first visit or a full-time property owner. The Environmental Steward remains aware of visitors, community happenings, daily operations, etc. This individual must be welcoming and accessible so they can answer questions, relay information, and monitor the community. A positive and hospitable attitude is essential

Requirements:

Responsibilities include:

  • Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and waste and ensure all common areas and amenities are neat.
  • Assess and identify any hazards on Common property. Repair as able and notify management as necessary.
  • Assist in upkeep and maintenance of company property and assets. Ensure proper care and clean-up of property.
  • Monitor and assist in the maintenance associated with common areas, roadways, and trails to ensure proper accessibility for property owners and guests.
  • Monitor street parking and cleanliness and safety of work sites. Report unclean sites or safety hazards to property manager. Assist with complaints from residents regarding parking, construction, etc.
  • Demonstrate a professional and hospitable attitude in all interactions.
  • Greet visitors with a smile, make introductions, and make them feel welcome.
  • Politely communicate and enforce rules, policies, and restrictions to property owners, guests, and outside vendors
  • Provide directions as needed and direct residents’ and visitors’ questions and feedback to appropriate Kiawah River team members.
  • Respond to questions and feedback with sensitivity and in a professional manner while respecting what information should remain private/internal.
  • Have ability to discuss Kiawah River environmental and ecological goals.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on recreational activities at Kiawah River
  • Work to stay informed with the most up-to-date community information to enable efficient communication with property owners, guests, vendors, and team members.
  • Reviews calendar of deliveries, projects, events, and other changes that may affect community access or affect other team members
  • Assist with daily community operations, amenity needs, and events. Organize schedule and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Remain aware of visitors and vendors. Report unusual activity or activity worth noting to Supervisor.
