Postion Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures to assist in the early detection of breast cancer and other breast abnormalities. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services and compassionate care to our patients.

Responsibilities:



Job Duties:

  1. Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations on patients in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  2. Prepare patients for mammography procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and addressing concerns to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
  3. Position patients correctly and safely for mammography scans, providing appropriate support and reassurance throughout the procedure.
  4. Operate mammography equipment and adjust parameters to capture high-quality images of breast tissue.
  5. Ensure proper compression techniques are applied during mammography scans to obtain optimal images while minimizing patient discomfort.
  6. Monitor patients during mammography procedures to ensure their safety and well-being.
  7. Evaluate mammography images for quality and completeness, ensuring all necessary anatomical structures are properly visualized.
  8. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  9. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images, discuss findings, and assist in patient care planning.
  10. Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on mammography equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with regulatory standards.
  11. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with mammography procedures and equipment.


Qualifications:

- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

- Florida State License (required)

- 1 Year of Experience (required)
