Job Summary:
The Director of Catering at The Verve Hotel - Boston Natick is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the catering operations for the hotel. This individual will work closely with the sales team, kitchen staff, and event planners to ensure that the catering department consistently meets and exceeds guest expectations and maintains a high level of profitability. This is a full-time, individual contributor role located in Natick, Massachusetts.

Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 per year, paid biweekly. The selected candidate will also receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and travel discounts.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the catering operations, including menu development, pricing, and execution of events
- Collaborate with the sales team to create and implement strategies to increase catering sales and revenue
- Maintain and update catering policies and procedures to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction
- Manage and develop a team of catering staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure seamless event execution
- Conduct regular meetings with the kitchen staff to review event menus, discuss client feedback, and streamline processes
- Monitor and control catering expenses to ensure profitability without compromising quality
- Stay updated on industry trends and make recommendations for new menu items and services to attract and retain clients
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop catering promotions and strategies to reach new clients
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote the catering services of The Verve Hotel

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Administration or in Business
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in Hotel Sales, catering or Marketing managerial position
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, pricing, and execution of events
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and staff
- Proven experience in driving catering sales and increasing revenue
- Proficiency with sales and catering software 
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate event schedules
