Summary

Looking for a cook to plan and prepare breakfast, lunch, and snack for a daycare center with children ages 6 weeks-12 years. The center uses the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Duties

  • Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for the center follow the State of Wisconsin guidelines.
  • Follow State of Wisconsin Food Service Guidelines (such as sanitizing, serving, dishwashing procedures, and equipment upkeep).
  • Maintain DPI menus, forms and necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment including ordering/shopping for necessary food items.


Requirements

  • Prior experience cooking large quantities.
  • Training on kitchen sanitation, food handling, and nutrition.
  • Experience with the CACFP food program or a similar program.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk, lift and move up to 25 pounds, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms.
