Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates manually controlled machines in skilled precision and bench work in the fabrication, maintenance, repair and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools and equipment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

• Uses precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, milling machine, variety of cutting tools and equipment.

• Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal

• Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment

• Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend change or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup and production

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• AutoCad-5 years’ experience
• Fusion 360-5 years’ experience
• STP Files-m5 years’ experience

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Able to use hands to manipulate tools or controls, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds at a time.
• Temperature may vary depending on the season.
