Make a difference as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)

As a Full-Time Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) at Owen Health Care Inc., you will play a crucial role in fostering positive behavioral changes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this dynamic position, you will work both independently and collaboratively with managerial staff, clients, and their families. Your responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) crafted by the BCBA, collecting and recording data on client progress, and providing direct one-on-one support across various settings such as homes and schools. You'll conduct skill-building sessions to reinforce adaptive behaviors and implement behavior reduction strategies as recommended. Additionally, you will collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure consistency in interventions while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Regular training and professional development activities will further enhance your skills and knowledge in this rewarding field. You will also participae and assist with community activities such as health fairs, conventions, and community education programs.

What you need to be successful

To thrive as a Full-Time Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) at Owen Health Care Inc., candidates must possess a unique blend of education, experience, and interpersonal skills. A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field is essential, along with certification as a BCaBA. A strong foundational understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles is crucial, as well as experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent observational and data collection abilities, alongside effective communication skills to engage with clients, families, and team members.

Following treatment plans and directions from the supervising BCBA is paramount, requiring attention to detail and organization. Most importantly, candidates should be compassionate and patient, genuinely committed to making a positive impact in the lives of their clients through dedicated support and innovative behavioral strategies.
