Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an Industrial Painter for a long-term, day shift role with a manufacturing company located in Beaverton, OR. The person in this position will prepare surfaces for painting and finishing; apply finish coats using the full range of application methods and materials, and mix and match paints and finishes.

 

PAY: $22-$25/hour 

 

INDUSTRIAL PAINTER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare surfaces and apply coatings to a variety of products/parts using standard methods.

  • Mix paints to match standardize colors of product and to property consistency and viscosity for spraying.

  • Adjusts colors when necessary.

  • Organize, move, hang, wash, and prepare parts daily for painting.

  • Other paint duties include proper paint preparation, sanding, and wash down prior to painting

  • Assist with cleaning of painting equipment, paint shop, and wash down area daily.

  • Willingness to cross-train in other departments.

  • Follow all safety guidelines including wearing appropriate PPE (safety toe boots, safety glasses) at all times.

  • Work a standard schedule of 5AM-3:30PM, Monday through Thursday. Flexibility to work occasional over time on Fridays and/or Saturdays during high production.

 

INDUSTRIAL PAINTER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ year of industrial painting experience. 

  • Experience in 2 part epoxy and operating an air-assisted, HVLP, and conventional systems preferred.

  • Comfort color matching and paint mixing.

  • Understanding of safety practices relevant to industrial painting.

  • Excellent attendance.

  • Ability to work respectfully with colleagues at all times.
