Job Title - Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Contract Tenure XX weeks (Extendable)

Location: Scottsbluff, NE XXXX1
Shift: XX hrs, Day Shift

Job Summary:

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients orally, intravenously, or by other routes as directed by physicians.
  • Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners.
  • Position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring proper alignment and patient comfort.
  • Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure safety and image quality.
  • Process and analyze imaging data to produce diagnostic images for interpretation by physicians.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and make treatment recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of imaging procedures.
  • Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and answering questions to alleviate anxiety and promote cooperation.
  • Stay current with advances in nuclear medicine technology and procedures through continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Perform other job duties as needed or assigned by the client.

Job Requirements

  • ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine OR CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine
  • BLS, preferably from AHA
  • Graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
