Job DescriptionJob DescriptionQuardev is seeking a fully remote Senior Software Engineer to join our client’s AI team based in Columbus, OH. This is your opportunity to build full stack applications and lead the development of Generative AI applications that integrate across the stack, to drive AI forward for the company. A good background in Generative Ai, deep understanding of its principles, and awareness of its latest innovations ensures your success in the role.This is a remote position open to applicants within the United States. This role is not eligible for visa transfer, sponsorship, or corp-to-corp (C2C).Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain AI powered applications and platform
  • Serve as the SME for AI capabilities and recommend ways to integrate new AI innovations into the existing ecosystem of tools and technologies
  • Be a reliable hands-on contributor, building new and enhancing existing web applications
  • Work with product, security, engineering, and other leaders to understand and implement application security best practices in compliance with data privacy and protection regulations
  • Take an active role in contributing to CI/CD processes to identify ways to improve release cycle performance, speed, and outcomes
  • Use your interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with product sponsors and senior leadership in engineering and the greater business.
  • Work with a mindset that considers the full software development lifecycle, from initial conception to launch, and from maintenance all the way through to sunsetting
  • Be a proactive, positive, and effective mentor to junior members of the engineering team
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience building enterprise-level AI powered applications
  • More than 4 years of software engineering experience with the following tech stack:
    • Python, Go, Node.js
    • TypeScript, Angular, React and Playwright
    • Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI service, Amazon Bedrock or similar technologies.
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS): ECS, RDS, Lambda, etc.
    • Docker, Terraform, Github, CircleCI, Sonarqube, NewRelic and Datadog
    • JIRA, Confluence, Zoom, Slack, and Office 365
    • Relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL; NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB
  • A default to empathy for your fellow engineers and the ability to balance the realities of software engineering activities with business goals
  • You can communicate disarmingly and enjoy working with a range of business units and disciplines to describe team goals, technology situations, and to foster trust and confidence among peers, customers, and leadership
  • Solid experience in both front-end and back-end development
  • You approach frontend development with users’ needs in mind
  • You are able to partner with UX teams to ensure the best possible experience is designed, developed, and implemented
  • You have a commitment to considering accessible designs throughout the SDLC
  • You have API development experience
  • You are able to succeed in a fast-paced software release environment, continuously delivering production-grade (near-zero downtime, fault-tolerant, etc.)
  • You have experience contributing, hands-on, to the full software development life cycle, including writing application code, unit/integration/automation tests, documentation, and performance engineering and security.
IMPORTANT - This position is not eligible for Corp-to-Corp (C2C) or Visa (H1b) transfer or sponsorship.
Compensation: $55HR+, plus full benefits, DOE
Note: This role is a 100% remote, contract role. This contract is expected to last 6+ months as a W-2 employee, with the potential for an extension depending on budget, performance, and team needs.
