Café Lead Attendant

Episcopal Homes of Minnesota is a leader in senior care services for 130 years. We offer homes and services for people in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Care centers in the Midway area of St. Paul. We complement our homes with a home care service, foundation, a management company and a robust campus life program that provides a fitness center, pool, theater, 1st class dining room, pub and special events

JOB SUMMARY:

Bistro/Cafe prep cook is responsible for producing quality foods and providing excellent customer service. Bistro/Cafe staff are also responsible for completing assigned production lists and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the Café and Bistro. The attendants stock, maintain, and clean Bistro/Café sales floor and service areas as well as receive orders and maintain all Bistro/Café storage areas.

PAY AND SCHEDULE:

6:30AM - 3:00PM. Every other weekend.

$17 - $19hr. Experience Compensated

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions

  • Production of all foods sold in Café and Bistro. Salads, sandwiches, breads, and bars.
  • Participate in soup production for all areas on campus.
  • Maintain or direct any weekly production needed to maintain pars for both areas.
  • Maintaining and accessing stock needs and communicating to Supervisor to ensure foods are available in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing sanitation and cleanliness of ECH work area, Bistro and Café. Reporting any deficiencies to Supervisor to follow-up.
  • Balance all cash drawers at the end of each shift. Follow security procedures for handling cash and other forms of tender.
  • Participate in evaluating, updating, and creating menu and beverage items. Keeps Chef Manager aware of items that are not popular / not selling.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food handling experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently
