Position Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation: MRA offers competitive starting compensation based on qualifications and experience. The compensation range for this position is between $29.00 and $53.00 per hour.
A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.00 will be offered to well-qualified candidates.
Position Summary:
The Multi-Modality Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic Mammographic procedures in a hospital or outpatient-based facility, according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Most locations also offer X-Ray and Dexa in which technologists serve as a Multi-Modality Technologist covering three modalities: Mammography, X-Ray and Dexa.
Operates equipment and performs radiological and therapeutic examinations through proper positioning of patients and preparation to assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment. Follows established policies and procedures set by the department, hospital, state, ACR, TJC, and OSHA.
The Multi-Modality Technologist operates digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment and performs procedures by positioning patients, preparing contrast medias, and selecting the correct exposure factors utilizing the assessment of patient age, pathology and diagnosis to produce technically accurate digital and or analog images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis.
Key Accountabilities:
- Performs Radiography and Mammography examinations on identified patients according to department and procedures and protocols by positioning patients, preparing contrast medias, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately, and selecting the correct exposure factors utilizing the assessment of patient age, pathology and diagnosis to produce reliable and informational data.
- Ensures optimal technical quality and accuracy of all mammographic examinations according to MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act), the American College of Radiology (ACR), and FDA quality control requirements.
- Accurately inputs data into the RIS by tracking procedure performed as well as data required in order to capture exam and supply charges, resource allocation and other relevant information. Transfers correctly annotated images into PACS.
- Develops and evaluates images for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
- Obtains all relevant patient information, and assesses physician's order and/or requisition for completeness by reviewing the clinical information, pertinent laboratory results and patient's chart to ensure the correct procedure is performed and proper patient preparation is administered on the correct patient. As well as educates and assists patients in hereditary cancer risk assessment testing.
- Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications Guidelines:
- Graduate of an approved Radiography program.
- CT State Radiographer's License required.
- ARRT (R) & ARRT (M)
- Current X-Ray experience required and Mammography experience preferred however, willing to train the right candidate
- Acute care experience and experience with invasive procedures is very highly preferred.
