Job DescriptionJob DescriptionIf you're looking to get hands on experience and get started with your career, North Suffolk is a great place to start North Suffolk currently partners with Boston College to provide a hands-on paid internship experience called the "Internship to Career Program" This special invitation will allow BC students to choose from various paid internships offered at NSCS that will be geared toward preparing the student to be hired into that position post-graduation.
Below is a list of available internship roles along with their description;

Internship Role and Description:

Group therapy clinician - Conexions intensive outpatient program (substance use disorder programming) focused on supporting adults 18+ in recovery

Group therapy clinician - Conexions day treatment program (mental illness programming) focused on supporting adults 18+ with severe and persistent mental illness

Emergency Respite - Short Term residential care for Adults (chronical homelessness, substance use, SMI. Interns will gain experience with Residential treatment, assessment and case management

In-Home Therapy Clinician - support families with children and youth who are experiencing difficulty in the home due to a mental health condition, providing strategies and interventions that enable them to work together positively to manage or avert a crisis so the family can remain together

Early Childhood Services - Clinician - partnering with families with children who present with developmental needs, medical fragility, and/or biological and family identified stressors placing them at risk for delay.

Intensive Care Coordinator - Community Service Agency - wraparound services for child/youth with serious emotional disturbance

Community Treatment Team - pilot program assisting young adults transitioning to adulthood with acute mental health/autism spectrum disorder needs

Adult Clinical Community Supports - Clinical Coordinator - work as part of a multidisciplinary team of clinical staff, case managers, and others providing “wrap-around” support for a defined caseload of persons served diagnosed with serious mental illness and living in highly intensive clinical group home settings.

Youth Care Specialist with Children's Afterschool Program - supporting children ages 6 to 13 with emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs, within community setting through therapeutic groups which focus on developing social skills and adaptive coping skills.

Outreach Worker within Community Support Program - providing intensive case management services to clients with psychiatric or substance abuse disorders who are considered to be at risk in the community


In order to qualify for this program, students must be enrolled in Boston College.
