Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDiamond Braces is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our organization and individual practice offices. Responsibilities will range from crafting a comprehensive P&L program, development of robust financial plans, managing waste, and leadership of the financial department. You will bring experience in multi-entity consolidations and multi-site reporting as an accountant, preferably in a senior role. You will make it your mission to streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes.

This role will be based in our Englewood, NJ headquarters.

Essential Functions
  • Develop comprehensive financial plans for the organization and individual practice offices
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making, identifying areas for improvement and making appropriate recommendations to leadership
  • Create and maintain accurate and timely P&L statements for the organization, including individual practice offices
  • Forecast future financial performance based on historical data, market trends, and expansion plans
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency by implementing cost-saving initiatives
  • Work closely with department heads to streamline processes and optimize resource utilization
  • Prepare accurate and insightful financial reports for senior leadership and stakeholders, communicating financial results and key metrics in a clear and concise manner
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, as well as requirements of private contributions, loans, and government contracts
  • Supervise and mentor the financial department, including the Assistant Controller, Accounting Specialist, and Payroll team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance department
