JOB SUMMARY

With direct supervision this individual will perform routine manufacturing operations, including but not limited to work functions in Cell Culture, Purification, Solution & Equipment Prep areas. Operates production equipment according to SOPs to produce clinical and/or commercial products in their assigned areas. Perform manufacturing of Genezen's therapeutic products and ensure this is realized and documented according to the highest industrial and GMP quality requirements This individual will carry out cGMP manufacturing operations utilizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Batch Production Records and Solution prep records.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Attend daily morning meetings
  • Perform weekly/monthly walkthroughs and ensure areas are maintained in a safe and compliant state
  • Maintaining orderliness of process area and stocking production area with supplies
  • Demonstrating general knowledge of aseptic techniques
  • Support troubleshooting activities, working with more senior-level team members to resolve according to SOPs
  • Execute routine and non-routine production operations according to MFG schedule
  • Document operations according to GDP principles in Batch Production Record (BPR), Solution records (SLR), Logbooks and Forms
  • Perform page reviews in BPRs, SLRs, Logbooks, and Forms as needed
  • Carry out work in a safe manner, notifying management of safety issues and risks
  • Maintain up-to-date training folder for applicable processes
  • May be required to work at least four holidays in the calendar year
  • Manage equipment and support facility related projects by: performing scheduled cleaning of equipment and cleanroom, performing standardization of equipment, assist in assembly and disassembly of process equipment and escalating work request to Senior or Lead Technicians for submission in work request management system
  • Propose document revisions, escalate process improvement ideas
  • Develop and maintain personal development plan

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES

Essential/Desired

HS Diploma and 0 – 2 years related industry experience

Associate or BS degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or similar field

ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE

1+ years of relevant cleanroom GMP industry experience in R&D, product development, or operations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to meet the following physical demands:

Work Environment

  • Regularly required to work around large machinery and typical utilities seen in pharmaceutical facilities
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; hazardous waste; and risk of electrical shock
  • Occasionally exposed to extremely loud noise levels
  • Occasionally required to do work outdoors, including roof top mechanical units
  • Spending time on the floor during activity execution (maintenance, construction, commissioning and qualification) is required

Movement

  • Frequently required to stand; sit; walk; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
