Job Description: 3rd Shift Painter

(240-Paint Department)

  • Ability to prime, paint, and gatorhyde in the paint booth
  • Work well with the paint team

Position Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand the majority of the day
  • Must be detail oriented and process orders with accuracy
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to assess priorities in a time sensitive environment
  • Work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain Harper Industries certifications
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently
  • May involve repetitive motions
  • Ability to engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing ad pulling of parts and part containers
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply the proper thickness of paint to maintain expected quality finish
  • Clean and maintain paint guns daily
  • Assist in changing filters routinely
  • Keep a clean workplace
  • Blow off paint carts prior to painting
  • Prep flatbeds for gatorhyding
  • Gatorhyde flatbeds
  • Maintain paint kitchen duties
  • Wash carts in the wash bay
  • Assist in loading and unloading parts on paint cart
  • Prepare parts and whole goods for paint
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule/Salary

  • 40+ hour work week (8pm – 6:30am Monday – Thursday)
  • Overtime with pre-approval by supervisor
  • Some Saturday work required
