Currently, we are looking for an Recreation Assistance to join our Team

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, is responsible for assisting with the implementation of activities for participants tailored to the needs and limitations of frail elderly. Assists participants with non-skilled Activities of Daily Living (ADL). Provides one-on-one assistance with participants or preparing for upcoming activities at their home or in our day center. Mandatory recreational home visit with participants. Assist with planning social, therapeutic and leisure programs.


Basic Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College preferred. Experience: 1-2 years of health care experience with elderly. Preferred experience in therapeutic activities programs in health care.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.


Skill(s):· Knowledge of the principles’ practices standards and techniques of the department.· Knowledge of how to use and maintain materials and equipment of department.· Knowledge of safety requirements.· Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with participants, co-workers, medical staff, and the public.· Skilled in identifying and recommending problem resolution.· Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
