Day to day as a Dishwasher

At Gimme's Par & Grill, we're seeking a passionate Dishwasher to be part of our dynamic team. This pivotal role is all about keeping our kitchen in top-notch shape, guaranteeing a smooth and hygienic environment for our culinary creations to shine. From scrubbing dishes to assisting with kitchen upkeep, the Dishwasher is an integral part of our day-to-day operations. Working closely with our Kitchen Manager and Assistant Kitchen Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless dining experience.

To excel as a Dishwasher at Gimme's Par & Grill, you'll need to be a master multitasker with a keen eye for cleanliness and organization. Your ability to efficiently sort and stack dishes, wash pots and pans, and maintain a neat kitchen environment is essential. Being detail-oriented and proactive in transferring clean dishes to designated areas, handling trash removal, and assisting with setup and breakdown tasks are key to success in this role. Your willingness to sweep, mop floors, and follow sanitation procedures diligently will ensure a hygienic workspace. Additionally, being able to adapt to varying tasks, such as cleaning restrooms and responding quickly to spills, demonstrates your dedication to upholding our high standards of cleanliness.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • • Sort and stack clean dishes.
  • • Transfer clean dishes to the cook's line and other proper storage areas.
  • • Wash pots
  • pans
  • and trays (sometimes by hand).
  • • Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster area.
  • • Setup and/or break-down dishwashing area.
  • • Clean and roll/unroll mats.
  • • Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
  • • Sweep/mop floors.
  • • Clean restaurant and restrooms as directed.
  • • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
