PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Claims Manager is responsible for resolving all quality related claims fairly, professionally, and with the lowest possible cost to the company while providing outstanding service to all customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for investigating and collecting all data related to claims. including invoices, samples, commissioning of independent inspectors, cleaners and lab testing.
- Responsible for negotiating fair, accurate, and timely resolution of claims with lowest possible cost to the company.
- Involve management and seek approval for claims exceeding $5,000.00.
- Coordinate the sale of goods that have been refused by dealers (reconsignment sales) to avoid return costs.
- Responsible for filing, negotiating and tracking of charge backs to vendors for defective or damaged products.
- Responsible for entering all mail, faxes and other communication daily into the claims system as received.
- Other duties/special projects assigned by the Business Operations Manager.
- Conduct communication with all customers, internal employees, vendors, and financial institutions in a professional manner, with integrity and a positive attitude.
- Follow all published Marquis Industries, Inc. policies and procedures.
WORK SCHEDULES / HOURS
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00. The expectation is to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. May be required to lift a box(es) of paper/files weighing up to 20 pounds.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Five years of experience in a related role.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university preferred.
- MS Office with intermediate level
- AS400 with intermediate level or better
