POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the facilities and equipment on site. They will perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment in the manufacturing plant as well as company vehicles. Also, they will manage the landscape by mowing, removing snow, and other tasks to keep the facility in good condition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Performs preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment in the manufacturing plant as well as company vehicles.
  2. Manages the landscape by mowing, removing snow, and other tasks to keep the facility in good condition.
  3. Conducts inspections of production equipment and safety apparatus on a regular basis.
  4. Maintains the facility’s landscape and building infrastructure.
  5. Fabricates various structures, jigs, and fixtures as asked by various departments.
  6. Light construction as needed.
  7. Installs A/C units in facilities and assist with some light construction as needed.
  8. Works with outside contractors to obtain quotes and shares quotes to supervisor for final approval.
  9. Schedules outside contractors and vendors as needed and requested by supervisor.
  10. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

Tools to be utilized:

Hand tools, power tools, grinders, tape measure, welders, torch, and potentially other tools for special jobs.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a maintenance technician role in a manufacturing setting required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance technician role in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Experience operating a skid steer preferred.
  • Welding experience preferred.

Language:

  • Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
  • Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions.

Math:

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Computer:

  • Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
  • Operate proficiently using Limble maintenance software.

A

Abilities:

  • Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
  • Understand city ordinances, building codes, and OSHA regulations.
  • Able to work professionally with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
