Gittleman Construction & Maintenance Corporation, provides construction and maintenance services to condominiums, townhomes and single family homes in the greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. We have been in business for over 40 years and we employ a team of highly skilled experienced tradespeople, many of whom have been with the company for over 20 years. This position will provide a gas card, vehicle, health insurance, and profit sharing among other benefits. Successful candidates will have:

  • General handyman experience
  • Drywall repair, taping and painting experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean background and DMV record
  • Willingness to work some on-call shifts (roughly every 7-9 weeks)

The General Maintenance position serves residents primarily in the downtown area. Training is provided. Experience navigating job-board technology is a plus. You may drive your company-provided vehicle home daily. Compensation is based on experience and work hours are somewhat flexible.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to work rotating after hours "On-Call" shifts
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours each workday
  • Ability to adjust, lift, push, and pull heavy objects a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and balance regularly
  • Ability to do ladder/step work which would include carrying ladders, scaffolding, and walking up/down stairs
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • Contact with sharp, hot and/or very cold supplies and equipment
  • Must maintain safety procedures at all times to prevent work injuries
